Coach Lyndsey Schmidt brings extensive experience to her role, having previously led teams at both the 10u and 12u levels for the Loudoun Girls Softball League. She is currently the assistant coach for DYS Thunder 14u and is set to take on the head coaching position for Inferno 16u, aiming to prepare her players for high school softball and beyond.
As a full-time working mom with a big, active blended family of four teenagers involved in various sports, Lyndsey balances a dynamic personal life. She's a former roller derby competitor with NOVA Roller Derby, enjoys playing softball casually, and stays active with running and weightlifting.
Lyndsey's coaching philosophy centers on having fun and continuously striving for improvement, both as players and teammates. She emphasizes the importance of activity, not just in sports but as a lifestyle. Lyndsey's dedication to coaching stems from her belief in setting a strong example for her players—showing that even busy working moms can make time for their passions. Through her coaching, she hopes to inspire at least one of her players to consider coaching in the future.
