Our second player of the month for October is Lila Deturris!

You would think an infectious smile, true passion for softball and leadership qualities would be enough for a just turned 9 years old on the softball field.  That’s not the case for Lila DeTurris.  She’s a true all-around stud player for the Loudoun Inferno 10U Red team.

She led the team to the championship game in the 10U Red team’s (and her) first-ever tournament.  She pitched in 4 of the 5 games, earned all 3 wins in the USSSA Breast Cancer Awareness tournament and helped her team finish as Runner-Up in the 10U “C” Silver Bracket.

During the month of October, she tore the cover off the ball at the plate hitting .563 and led the team with 12 RBIs.  In the circle, she struck out 42 batters and helped this new team go 5-3-2 in October.

Off the field, the 3rd grader loves hanging out with family, volunteers with her mom and also lives at SixFour3.  Congrats Lila!!
