Loudoun Inferno – Noerr crushed the competition this weekend at the rain shortened Potomac River Clash tournament. This tournament marks the first for the team in the 2022-2023 season and their first B level tournament. Out of 8 teams, Loudoun Inferno – Noerr was the youngest and only 9U team entered into the tournament and after Saturday was the only team that remained undefeated. Setting themselves apart with more than just game wins, in the 3 tournament games the team scored the most runs with 36 and had the highest run differential with 6. In a total team effort, every single player on the team had a base hit for a total of 21 hits. Of those 21 hits the team had 9 doubles and a triple. On defense, the pitchers had a combined 22 strikeouts, allowed only 3 hits, and were backed by almost flawless fielding on batted balls. Go Inferno!
