Congrats to Loudoun Inferno – Noerr for their first 10U tournament win in the USSSA Crabtown Crackdown.
This young team put together an amazing showing of both offense and defense, collecting 29 hits, allowing only 7 and scoring a total of 38 runs.
Special recognition for hitting goes to Becca Espinoza who batted 1.000 this weekend. With 9 plate appearances Becca put together 7 hits (5 singles and 2 doubles) and walked twice. She led the team in the championship game going 3 for 3 and notching the first hit against a strong New Jersey team. Special recognition on the mound goes to Avery Stringer who struck out 22 this weekend. Avery pitched all of the 6 inning championship game, allowing 2 hits and striking out 16.
