Loudoun Inferno 16u – Underhill continued their hot start to the season by going 3-0 (tied for 1st) in a rain-shortened Eastern Classic Showcase hosted by Softball Factory in Richmond, VA. The team was led by great defense and an amazing pitching-by-committee performance with 13 of 14 shutout innings thanks to Bailey Lavin, Alexa Squirewell, Ava Lomelin, and ArisSmith. Sam Kopek provided the lone run against the Central PA Lady Renegades with an opposite field HR, and timely team hitting provided the necessary offense against VA Stars Trottman and Team VA Mizuno Arroyo. Shout out to the competition, shout out to Grace Hilyer/Adnan Hindi for the video clip and a special shout out to the parks and rec crew that battled the rain to get these games in. BE GREAT!!
